Kate T. Williamson, the author and illustrator of A Year in Japan will take us on a visual journey of Japanese aesthetics. Kate will explain the significance of traditional patterns, materials and color-combinations from their natural inspirations and time-honored uses through to their contemporary applications. Topics to be covered include washi paper, shibori indigo-dyeing, the beauty of seasonality and the visual delights of Japanese sweets.
