The Embassy of Finland proudly presents “My Paradise”, an exhibition that showcases Finnish architects’ summer homes, revealing the special place that these creations hold in their designers’ hearts. The exhibition consists of new photographs by photographer Jari Jetsonen and historical photographs from the collections of the Museum of Finnish Architecture, the Alvar Aalto Museum and private architects. The drawings and scale models made by architecture students of the University of Tulan bring an important addition to the exhibition.

Our just released publication Finnish Summer Houses presents in detail twenty villas, cottages, and cabins by architects such as Eliel Saarinen, Oiva Kallio, Alvar Aalto, and Juhani Pallasmaa, among many others.

The very best examples of these fantastic summer homes are collected here, making Finnish Summer Houses an inspiration for anyone dreaming about a summer home of their own.
