Please join us for a live broadcast of Bronwyn C.’s Killing Time radio show at the Community Bookstore Friday December 14th at 6pm. Featuring WFMU personalities Bronwyn C, Kenny G, Ellery Eskelin and Best of LCD editor Dave the Spazz.

This event will be broadcast live on WFMU 91.1 FM (NYC area), and on the web here. The Community Bookstore is located at 143 7th Avenue (between carroll & Garfield) in Park Slope, Brooklyn.

“In this age of something for everyone satellite radio, it’s easy to forget the original innovators of the airwaves. For the last half-century, New York’s pioneering free-form station WFMU has consistently broadcast an array of eclectic programming, from left-leaning political commentary to any and all genres of music. During the ‘80s and ‘90s, the station’s ragtag staff also published a programming guide-cum-magazine called LCD (as in lowest common denominator). This best-of collection features illustrations, cartoons, essays, and other ephemera that appeared in those pages, as well as the writings and artwork of Gary Panter, Harvey Pekar, and Nick Tosches, plus a foreword by Jim Jarmusch. For the radioheads on your list, THE BEST OF LCD is a throwback visual treat.”
