FALL PREVIEW - PARIS CHANGING · Sep 12, 09:23 AM

Summer is over. Time to trade in those beach balls and birkenstocks for books and berets. To help your transition, we offer the following preview from our Fall 2007 catalog:

Coming in November is Paris Changing: Revisiting Eugène Atget’s Paris. The follow-up to our hit 2004 book New York Changing: Revisiting Berenice Abbott’s New York, Paris Changing features seventy-four pairs of images beautifully reproduced in duotone.

Photographer Christopher Rauschenberg spent a year in the late ‘90s revisiting and rephotographing many of the same locations famously photographed by Eugène Atget between 1888 and 1927. Each site is indicated on a map of the city, inviting readers to follow in the steps of Atget and Rauschenberg themselves.

  1. I am just back from Paris…and was so inspired. Heading out and about in that city with your camera must be one of the greatest pleasures in life!

This book looks wonderful. Consider my beret firmly on ;)
